The award-winning photographic work by Larissa Nicole Rogers of Spirit Essence Photography is highly specialized. Only a handful of assignments are accepted each month to preserve the integrity of the work, and to uphold a high level of creativity and artistry in the resulting images. Larissa has been photographing people professionally since 1990, and has developed an innate sense to "see" the essence of her subjects and capture that elusive quality.  Time with each subject reveals many layers and subtle aspects as the mystery of the soul unfolds before the lens.  Larissa nurtures the mood and energy of the session to allow the person's "spirit essence" to shine --- through the eyes, through the expression, and through the pranic energy within the present moment.  There is a sense of magic that happens within the space of a photo session.  It's very palpable.

Bringing together the powerful qualities of the raw image with the digital canvas, Larissa spends intense digital time with the top picks from each session or assignment, molding each image into a stunning interpretation of the original capture. The artistry is in interpreting the subjective balance between light and shadow and hue and nuance; between softness and crisp lines; blurred focus and perspective shifts; enhanced textures and symbolic landscapes.  She renders an organic perfection to skin and flesh-tones and draws out the luminosity of the eyes. Having an extensive background in digital imaging, web & graphic design, and over 18 years of Adobe Photoshop experience, Larissa is able to shape the desired vision and draw out the true essence of one’s spirit!
